• Nature versus nurture in relation to growth and development
• Factors impacting growth and development
• Significant life events and their impact across each life stage
• Care needs of individuals and how they are met across life stages

Safeguarding and Protection in Health and Social Care
The aim of this unit is to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and protection of children, young people and adults in health and social care.
You’ll cover the following areas:
• What is safeguarding and protection
• Legislation, policies, procedures, and code of practice
• Types of abuse
• Signs, symptoms, indicators, and behaviours
• Actions to take if harm or abuse is suspected
• Responsibilities of practitioners in relation to whistleblowing
• How practitioners safeguard individuals and themselves
• Confidentiality in relation to safeguarding, protection and well-being
