Overview
The NVQ Level 3 is the equivalent of an A-level qualification, and is designed for those who already work in the care sector with a small amount of responsibility, sometimes working without supervision. The programme is recognised internationally and sets the standard for those working in health and social care.
Study Hours
It takes around 400 hours to complete this course which is about an hour per day over a year.
Course Duration
You have up to a year to complete this course and we have included a suggested number of study hours. This is usually ample time for learners, even with full-time jobs and other commitments. Don’t worry if you go over the year though, we can organise an extension to your course for a small fee, which also extends your tutor support.
Study Method
Throughout this course, you may be expected to complete assignments, essays, portfolios, research projects, posters, leaflets, presentations, PowerPoint presentations, video/audio recordings, work-based and practical learning sessions and observations to meet the requirements of your course. This information will be included in your study pack detailing exactly what you need to do to accomplish your goals as a student.
Level 3 Entry requirements

You don’t need any prior skills in the subject area to start, however, you will be required to undertake a placement or voluntary work if not already working in this industry.
